Support for Fully Semantic References for Geometric Tolerances in Model-Based Definition

Geometric tolerance annotations support semantic references to geometry in the model as well as references to datum feature symbol annotations. In the Datum Feature tab, click References to open the References dialog box where you can manage the semantic references to model geometry. The leader attachment reference is added automatically, but you can also select additional references to model surfaces. If the GTOL is placed on another annotation, then no semantic references are automatically added, however, you can specify them from the References dialog box. Specifying the datum references in a GTOL is faster and easier. If the datum feature symbol exists in the model, you can select it by clicking the icon to select the datum reference from the model. The datum reference name appears in the datum box. You can also type the datum label in the box. If the datum feature symbol exists, a connection is established between the datum feature symbol and the GTOL. Datum references with a connection to an existing datum feature symbol appear as green text in the datum boxes on the Geometric Tolerance tab. If the datum feature symbol does not exist in the model, the datum reference box is populated with plain text. This allows you to create GTOL annotations without first having to create a datum feature symbol. Datum references specified as plain text and with no connection to an existing datum feature symbol appear as black text
