Tutorial: Quickly Replace the Model of a Drawing View

Quickly Replace the Model of a Drawing View

Quickly Replace the Model of a Drawing View

You can replace the model of a drawing view with a related model. Supported model types are Family Table, Simplified Representation, or Reference Model, such as Merge and Inheritance. All views that have dependency to the selected view are automatically included for replacement. You also have the option of including all nondependent views of the same model and representation on the current sheet or in the entire drawing. While replacing the model of a drawing view, the view properties are preserved, as well as all annotations. The replaced model may be optionally deleted if all views that reference it are being replaced. If you choose to delete the original model, you can also replace all callouts and repeat regions that reference the original model.
