Intelligent Built-In Target Areas in Model-Based Definition

You can choose the type of target area from the Datum Target tab. The standard target areas are Point, Circle, Rectangle and None. If you choose either the circle or rectangle target area, the size of the hatched area attached to the leader is controlled by the dimension within the annotation. An intelligent prefix is applied, based on the shape of the target area. If you choose a circle target area, a diameter symbol prefix is applied. If you use the rectangle target area, the length and width dimensions are separated by an X. If you use the rectangle area with the same dimension for length and width, the box symbol prefix is used to indicate a square dimension.
